The energy conversion efficiencies of these organic semiconductor devices are in constant progress. The energy efficiency of OPVs has jumped from year to year. They will become an essential technology for the production of clean energy because light is an inexhaustible resource and its exploitation by OPVs does not impact the planet.
The overall energy balance of Organic cells (OPV), taking into account the ecological impact of their production, their manufacture and their recycling, is very quickly totally positive. The organic quality of the processes used by HÉOLE makes it possible to recover in a very short time the energy consumed for its manufacture and that which will have to be for its recycling, unlike other solar technologies commonly used for solar panels.
The HÉOLE project is strongly part of the energy transition process.
The performance prospects of OPVs and their very low environmental footprint make them the technology of the future for the energy transition.
